Well there it is the bags are in. Not done with all the welding but wanted to put it together. I have re5 in the back but i dont think they will give enough lift... i think the re6 had a bit more? I still need to find a place for a muffler and mounts. Also need to find a place for the tanks...the new one i got yesturday i dont think will work under the bed...it will hit the ground. Thanks for all the input i do take it all into consideration when out working and from time to time you will notice it on the truck Later, Craig

you've got enough for re8s there. i love how it is turning out.

I guess i need to do some reseach on bags what is the lift of the 8s? what about comp? Thanks for the complements its hard work as you all know. I like to keep it simple and what i call user friendly easy to work on easy to troubleshoot a problem. I need to get the fuel cell and tanks figured out pretty soon. The bend in the bridge i think im gonna mount a comp on each side...dont know for sure yet. Later,Craig

Nice that bridge looks sweet. You can definitely fit re-8s. All the slam bags are the same height when compressed. I saw a chart somewhere let me see if I can find it.

Edit: Look on the there website. It has all the specs of there bags, plus specs of firestone and contitech bags.

Elbine69 is right they all compress at 2.8"

The max stroke of the RE-8 is 8.2" the max usable height is 12"

Hope this helps!

so, u said the link bars are 1 1/4" .120 wall? i don't think i'd be comfortable putting a bag on the bar... actually i personally wouldn't. i'd go with .188 at least with a gusset on the bottom. that bar will be bitchin to hold your rear axle in place, but i'd rather not have the weight of the truck on it.
looking really good so far tho. like you said K.I.S.S. clean is the name of the game.
