Yes that is why i went over axle...just not feeling good on those bars. The over axle went pretty good i like how it turned out. Plus this will be a daily for my son when he turns 16 so i dont really want crazy lift or anything. Well fighting a cold this last week work has been slow on the truck i did get a few diff tanks and think i found the right size to go under the bed. The long skinny one with the ports on the side. Also put a used set of re8s in the back...lots of lift with those But i think the re6 will work just fine. I need to get the muffler mounted and the tank mounts then ready for the bed to come back in.

1.25" bars are not strong enough, period, even if they were .25 wall. The minimum for running bags on bars in round tube is 1.75" with a .25" wall. Or 2" with a .188 wall.

Haha I think everyone wants you to go bag on bar. But I think youll find you want a larger bag in the back. The bigger bags will give a much better ride.
