Project P.I.T.A. -SOLD---no more updates.

Quick update... Almost have the motor and tranny ready to pull out. Also started cutting exhaust brackets and non esential items from the rear of the frame. Oh yeah...just to toy with Todd I bolted (well several little phillips screws) the new grill on...Looks shweet..just need to rework it a bit.



OH yeah here is a pic of the seats that I will be using.These are out of an early 90's eclipse...can you say comfy.

what paint did you use for the glovebox? it's awesome. good job on the sanding. it looks blue in one pic and green in the other???

I am not sure right off the top of my head on the color. It is a factory color from Vatozone. I seen the color on the lid and thought it looked cool. Then when I layed it down on the box door I was impressed enough to change the direction of this project.

Ok....Well started to work on her a bit today. Was hoping to finally pull the motor. Yeah that is not going to happen. Little did I know that with an Auto Trans you need to unbolt the Flywheel from the Torque converter to get it to pull apart. Thanks to Todd for enlightening me. So now I have to pull Tranny and all. Oh well, easier to clean it all.

The other wonderful find was the reason my crank broke....Heat stress and improper torquing of bolts holding the timing pulley on to the crank. Here is a nice little pic of the cause of the heat stress. It appears that someone tried to weld the timing pulley to the cranks....YEah for idiots! Well that is it for now...hope to be baggin the front this week.
