Yea, I'm interested! PM me and we see what kind of deal we can work out?

I got another toy, so I'll be bringing that to the show atleast. The mazda will just have to go next year... There is no such thing as plans, haha.

Anything new?
hex0rz   +1y
No unfortuantely...

I got some new consumables for my plasma. I needed them cause I ran out after working for my brother. But since then been busy and all. I'm hoping to get to work on it again Monday or Tuesday. Depends if my buddy needs to get his car fixed...

...I've been kinda anxious to get it done too, lol!

MOTIVATE ME! SOMEONES!!!

Dude!!!! The fronts are much easier than the rear! With your skills you should have them done in no time. Once you get that biotch rollin you will have all the motivation you need to take care of the MINOR rear end issues. Go for it!

Did that help?

Haha...

A little, lol!

I got a question now immortal...

So today I met up with draggin86mazda! Cool guy! He came over and we talked about my setup and all and he was saying that the crossmember support is going to hit before anything else? Which means I wont lay fram in the front. I'm not worried about that really, but we were also talking about how the LCA sits too when laid out.

If I'm not mistaken he said that the rear portion of the LCA will drag on the ground?

Cause what I'm trying to figure out is what lays in the front first and what to go off of so I don't end up making it lay so hard I don't get much lift?

measure the same way u did for the rear as far as tire height and how far ur truck is off the ground now. and how far u need 2 go 2 fully lay out

I dunno how easy thats gonna be to do now because I'm not on a level surface to take measurements and one side is already cut into...

I just need to know what to expect hit the ground at the front first. LCA or crossmember mounts?

My problem is that when draggin86 said crossmember and whatnot but he also said if I'm not mistaken that the LCA would be lower too and a part of it will drag until it gets down to the crossmember.

But, dev on the other hand does'nt really remember how it went, but I had pics for him and he thought that I just had the LCA notched out enough where it would have more than enough travel that the rear portion of the LCA would drag. He told me that the LCA would'nt travel that far to go past the crossmember like that before laying out...

'Am I comnig off too complicated? I can get some pics to help convey my point more...

Will try to post pics tonite. On your truck, look where the LCA pivots at the frame. Between the 2 LCA pivots is a removable section of frame just below the oil pan. Now, with the truck up on jack stands, and no front air bags, push your LCA up as far as you can with a floor jack. Now look at the removable frame below the oil pan.... Any part of the LCA that is hanging below that removable frame will need to be removed (either with a plasma cutter or concrete - I prefer concrete ). Note, the removable frame below the oil pan is basically the same elevation as the side frame rails.

Now, as for the section of frame that is below the transmission tail shaft and also served as an anchor for the torsion bars.... this will also hit before the the frame rails (by about a 1/4" to 1/2"). Again, concrete works well for this

So you are talking about the crossmember right, immortal?

I guess I'll bag it and drag it till it lays, lol!

Well I plan on working on it today for the first time in a long time! LOL! Hopefully I will have pics up!
