Dunno how much of it you can actually see....I did take this with my digi cam before it got stolen so hopefully it will work well. But thats a interior shot of my Kia with everything done...but its not a close up...but should give ya a idea of what I was talking about

Jim

I miss that car still at times....especially from yesterday. I would put $20 in the tank (about 13 1/2 gallons) and it would consistently get over 400 miles to a tank with AC ALWAYS on...only way the fans seemed to work...weird but true) and yesterday I go to fill my GF new civic...07 civic...$20 and it get about 320 miles to a tank...thats pretty sad. I was getting better gas mileage than a Honda fit does! Damn...suddenly I want that car back again. Even added nice lil touches like remote start, tinted my windows, added the stereo upgrade (sorely needed over stock!), rims, tires, decal removal.....and just for fun put a lexus plate on the front and would ALWAYS get asked...what kinda lexus is that? LMFAO!!!! I told people I had it imported...straight from Korea and that they were EXTREMELY rare. Never failed to make me laugh

thanks for the pic!
yeah i had an idea of what you meant..

now to pull apart my shifter and look at how it's wired... not yet though, this weekend the driveshaft should be back in, put the pathfinders on the rear and just drive it for awhile.. haven't had it the last few weekends lol

plus, wedding to go to this weekend. blah.

what better time to pull in with new stuff done and steal the brides thunder!!! LOL!!

i travel mon-fri for work so by the time i'm home friday i'll just want to finish the rear end and not mess with anything more before i leave again monday lol :p

if i had all week, then yes i'd take it apart this week and check it before the driveshaft is back in

oh man... so....
haven't driven this thing for 4-5 weeks now.

i only get to do things on weekends as i travel, so here's the brief scoop

first - up in the air, had to cut a u-bolt, and the ones in lowering kit were too short. weekend wasted
second - got right u-bolts, on ground, heard clanging all around when i drove around the block - informed by midnight mike i need new hanger bearing
third - buddy said he could do the u-joints and hanger bearing - said hanger bearing will be $300 (WHAT)
-- during the week i spoke with another friend who could get it for $100 and will do the work instead
fourth - took driveshaft over to other buddies place
-- during week, couldn't get proper u-joints, shop kept getting wrong ones
fifth - still awaiting proper u-joints
sixth - got driveshaft together, brought it home, proceeded to install - then i noticed hanger bearing was backwards
-- during the week found out the proper way was binding and it wouldn't turn, spoke ot a shop who said to cut out the dust shield
today - took it back to the guy that did the work, cut off dust shield, installed proper way, installed it on the truck

YES drives great now

and i put the pathfinder wheels on in the process

i'm gonna check the stance tomorrow and if the front doesn't settle i'll crank it a little more
also in the meantime, i razor'd off the side trim residue and painted some rust paint overtop, until i'm ready to do the whole truck - also put the 4x4 grille on as i'm going to do some work to the 2wd grille i have, and put in sylvania silverstar headlamps as the one headlamp was leaking and taking in water anyway

and if all goes well i'll be driving out to hamilton and getting a straight bumper off mike soon too since he's put his chrome one on

few pics from cell phone:

I just dont understand or am failing to get how when you guys are pulling that side moulding off that you guys are ruining your paints...I pulled mine off nice and slow, used a scraper to remove most of the excess glue and the residual left over I wiped off with a goo gone extreme remover...I also used a car eraser (suggested by andrew, which attaches to your drill and is ...well.....a big ass eraser) which removed the sticker part of the moulding underside.....I was done in less than 3 hours, no paint damages...a lil cleaner wax finished it up and for the time being, it looks ok...not perfect or great...but heck of a lot cleaner and certianly prettier.

I just dont understand why so many are having to primer once those are removed...is it just me or something?
jesse   +1y
well initially i just yanked the trim off, which left the sticky stuff

and instead of spending a few hours rubbing and goo gone'ing it all, i just took a flat window razor and scraped it.. took about 10-15min and i did a quick spray... if i cared about the paint i would have taken more time, however i knew i was going to look at repainting it in the next month or something, so i just wanted quick
jesse   +1y
been awhile i suppose hahaha

done a couple things since last update i guess

main reason this is a beater truck.. rotted!

finally got around to painting the rest!

so.. the grille is still primer cause it's the 4x4 one i'm not using anyway...
likely getting a chrome grille this weekend..

got a straight bumper skin off midnightmike.. not sure if i want to keep the bumper all black or body match it since i'll have a chrome grille... hmmmmmmm

i'm just happy it's pretty much 1 colour now! muahahaha

oh right, and getting tint sat morning all around.
and my integra might sell soon, so i'll hopefully have a second project by end of summer.. on 2 wheels though
