Well after double checking the passenger drum it was WAY out of adjustment! I thought about the custom soft line I had professionally made and the possibility of it slightly expanding because of its length but it wasn't the issue. BIG THANK YOU for suggesting my rear brakes being out of adjustment. Ive priced out glass and the cheapest guy i could find who would come to my place and install it was $250 CDN plus taxes. I need to get this done because mine is badly cracked and very noticeable. After glass the truck will be flatdecked to have custom exhaust bent header back most likely dumping shortly after cab.

Very happy to have the brakes sorted out
cost me an extra $65 for a master cylinder but I'm sure it was due for one and its easier to sleep having 90% new brake components. I also realized my passenger axle seal is leaking very lightly and collecting in the bottom of the drum, it is definitely not the drum piston. What type of procedure is it to change an axle seal on these trucks? I have never had to do one on any of the trucks i have owned.

Thanks again guys! One step closer

good to hear man. and yeah having new components prevents you from having to do it later on too.

I was going to mount my shocks like yours but since they are going to be a problem I think I'm going to mount them off the lower link bars between the bag and axle. Hopefully they won't need as long of a travel mounted up there

I was going to do that as well but already picked up these shocks
i have 4"+ of wheel gap at full lift in the rear right now and that's PLENTY

Does anyone know a tonneau that will cross reference and fit my mazda? I can get the best price on a truxedo or something else main stream because my guy will have them in stock in town. I had one of their low profile covers on my slammed Dakota for 3 years even during the winter with no issues. The problem is none of these modern company make anyting for my truck! Any one running something intended for another truck on their mazda?

Also I'm getting no signal from the harness that goes to my signal lights but i get a flashing signal going to my lower bumper lights. The clips cant be backwards because they can only connect one way. Anyone ever experienced this? when the fuse is out does it start to use the lower bumper lights?

im using an extang snap on cover, it's intended for a nissan hardbody std. cab short box, it took a little messing around with to clamp the frame down but its on and fits great

Oh yeah and the box is on

So my brake lights are not getting power. There is no power to the harness to the bulb and no power to the fuse panel. Is there a relay or anything else i could check? the main fuses under the hood are fine
any thoughts

Hey man,

The upper lights beside the headlights are only supposed to be marker lights (not signal), the lower ones are for signal. If your lower ones are signalling your golden up front, can't help you out back man, sorry.

check the grounds in the rear of the body of the truck where your lights are . if they're not grounded then your rear lights no workie:)

Since you said brake lights, I'm assuming the tail lights work. Check the micro switch on the brake pedal, if it's stuck, brake lights no workie!
