And it runs! Had a friend from work come over am we attacked it with a power probe not sure what the issue is but everything was set up right and relays worked. Just had no power to the fuel pump somehow. So we wired it to run off the ignition switch and it fired right up and ran great! Its open mani right now so i have to do my exhaust etc at work tomorrow then i should be off tues (cross your fingers) at which time i can clean everything up take some more pics and start writing!

Hell yea! Good for you! The wirings really not bad is it? Can you have a power steering line made? Or get the type of connector that crymps on the hose? Im sroked for you tho! Sry to anyone whos waiting for a write up. The wife had surgery. Got the flu and have been workin like crazy and goin to class and spendin as much time as possible with my daughter. I was able to solve the hood clearance issue with the help of a friend.

So far all is well. Temp dropped to nothing the other day and leaked a bit of coolant from the thermostat gask. Put new temp sender, sensor, thermostat and gasket in and all is well again. I was expecting more leaks from a motor that hasnt run in two-three years but other than that not a drop of anything leaks. I will get on this writing business soon. Ive just been crazy busy.

Got the hose fixed today. The wiring was really kind of simple once I started getting into it. But I kind of took the long way about it. I cut everything from the ECU and soldier leads back on, then worked it just like a puzzle according to the Kia diagrams. So far it's working good. Now I just have to clean it up a bit and re-loom everything.

So did the B2600 hood fit with no issues? I can pick one up at the yard for 50 bucks.

Nice! Yea im gonna be re-tearing into my wiring here soon. Gonna try and re-route it. I want it to go thru the firewall right behind the engine and have the ecu behind the stereo cavity. Clean it up a bit. And yes the b2600i hood was perfect. Exactly like out except with the bubble which the b2600 engine has a similar crossover design like ours only single cam. I left mine dirty to see if it would rub. Been runnin it all week and not one rubbed spot. Fits nice and clears everything. Its close. But it clears. I got mine from a local yard as well for 50 great deal too people sell them for alot more online. Saw one with hail damage go for 150.
