by the looks of that zap strap in jesses pic it's not the stock location. but i'll xheck there on mine anyways

it's the exact same filter though, is that the same filter you guys are seeing on the firewall in your trucks?
haynes manual shows pictures of both filters, and it also matches the one i got for carb models, and explains the exact location. maybe the zip tie isn't stock but i'm sure the location is right, since it works for me

arg issue returned for me tonight, time to check the filter again tomorrow to see if that's it...
sucks to be me!

might have to look into a new tank now if this keeps happening...

i hate thinking you fixed the problem just to be wrong. mines surgeing again

looks like my filter was clogged again.
i'm likely getting a brand new tank for around $150cdn to solve the problem

the rust will never go away otherwise... so this is worth it

Look at the POR-15 gas tank kit. Can fix yours for about $50 and the stuff really works!

So I finally checked mine tonight and the vacuume advance isn't working. question is jesse, did you try moving it by hand? I did and it goes but seems stiff, and if i plug the nipple with my finger I can hear air leaking inside.

no i didn't try moving it by hand, just with sucking on the tube. seemed to move quite easily.

What kind of grease?

I've rebuilt one from a sbc before it's prob not much different. Are they hard to re and re? I remember with the sbc the oil pump key being a pain, anything like that on a mazda? I wanna do this soon!
