Ive not had problems with glass and plastics myself....i have had my upper pillars with the molded skulls etc, dash vents, bezels, all shaved molded etc. door panels, yada yada. The only issues i have had were a couple spots on the panels that have hairline cracks, and a couple of spots where i shaved my vents sunk in (this is on a dakota)...Some direct sunlight areas that saw sun for a loooong time. Beyond that, everything is perfect still. its all been done since 07 or 08 (the glasswork and primer at least)

but from what i can see looks like u are on the right track.

thanks for the vote of confidence I have been doing a lot of sanding and more bondoing to make it look even. Not much camera changes tho, so I won't bore.

Em, Ill send you a pic via pm, on MT...........

Finished with the Bondo portion of this, now onto the spot putty and wet sanding. It's gonna be tough to get it smooth using both plastic paint for the plastic and filler primer on the bondo. Anyone think that i can get away with just using the Krylon Fusions paint on the bondo/glass portion so I only need to use one type of paint?

pics, including a mock-up

This was to get the PVC pipe to be flush. Worked well

Part of the progress of getting it smooth:

current view from the outside. Anyone in or near Atlanta have a spare windshield that they don't need anymore?

and from the inside. I still need to figure out how I am going to route the vacuum line and the sensor wire for the gauge. I'd like to run it IN the steel in case I ever need to take the trim off again (I always customize the interior so it's likely, especially when I integrate factory cruise with the diesel system )

What y'all think?

well i just red this whole thread. and i think its sick. i thought about doin a diesel in my b but idk where to start so i think imma either do a 350 or a 383.

yeah wishing I did a 350 by now, I'd be finished and under budget than tackling this RF diesel. Anyways,

paint is drying, been busy as hell with this today, and other pieces to match
Since the carpet is now black I decided that black trim was just too much black, so I am bringing some life into this interior. Too bad the color I chose is now discontinued

Pics!!! I got 14 of them today

Here is where it was cracked. Hard to tell, isn't it?

Here is where my other one broke into two pieces. Notice how in one of the following pics you can see where it was actually cracked. I love plastic cement followed by fiberglass into holes I spent about 1 hour total repairing this one and another hour just on paint

and from the rear:

Here are some of the formerly black panels I decided to paint to match. I think that they look pretty good in person, I hope that the camera got it good

Also decided to get the lines routed properly for my gauges. Here's some random, unlabeled pics of this:

coolant and EGT are here:

busy day today

Well I have ordered a replacement IP, should have it at the end of the week.

Looking good Emjay. If you ever do decide to go with a 302 engine let me know.

IP arrived.
Thx for the offer Waldon, but I don't think that another B is in my immediate future. The misses would kill me if I took on yet another project. Gotta get the LeSabre off the property first.....

Well I have cut up the frame to the old trailer, since I am getting a long bed to replace it. I decided to get myself a ball catch and start welding it up.
