well in reality I have not changed anything on the lower ball joint. To do that you would have to modify the spindle, like I did on my VW with struts.

The double control arm setup gives me more options. All the lower ball joint spacer does in effect is lengthen the lower control arm by a very slight amount.

The entire reason im doing all this work is to retain proper geometry. I have a slight increase in camber as my suspension compresses, about 2* total at the bumpstop. With good sway bars I should be able to limit my body roll to around 2* where I will have optimal tire contact.

In relation with steering, Im making new steering arms. Ill make mockup arms to find the correct position for the least amount of bumpsteer and then use those to fabricate my new ones.

new steering knuckles, note they are shorter to quicken up the steering and they have more drop to negate any bumpsteer.

here they are adjusted for slow response, although still quicker than stock

wow i stayed up a little too late reading all the pages on this build. the quality of the work and the ingenuity of the custom ideas is incredible. i might not be a machinist in my life time but id love to learn at least these welding skills. amazing amazing work. and to think for half this work you coulda just bought an s13 and sr'd it lol. ill tell you a secrect though. that wouldnt have been close to as fckn cool

I think that we found project of the year here.....

Thank you. As for the welding you just need the machine and patience. Im ordering a little wire feed 110 machine and a 200 amp TIG machine on monday for my christmas present.

Ya I could have SR'd a s13 or 14, but thats what everyone does. Im building this truck to carry my motorcycles around, and occasionally slide sideways passed a few unsuspecting cars.

Thanks. I didnt know there was a project of the year. Hopefully I can get it a little more buttoned up and drivable soon. Very soon.
