I think I'm good. This one has the rear sump oil pan.

Looks awesome on the ground! PM sent about the carb too.

Congrats on getting the ball rolling with the V8 swap. On a side note, what is that front bumper off of? I like it better than the same old Yota bumper. Looks like it fits the lines better.

Thanks guys! I picked up a World Class T-5 transmission (5 speed) out of a fox body stang, so now onto the engine swap! Glad to have the suspension pretty much done!

It is the same old Yota bumper, lol. I had to pie cut the FBI bumper brackets (JUNK!!!) and used some beefy zip ties to pull the bumper ends up to the fenders so the lines matched up and fit. It looked terrible when I originally installed it... but now I'm really happy with it.

Gonna be even more badass w/ the v8!

I picked up a world class T-5 tonight. Quite a bit small than the bulky 4x4 tranny!

It put a hurt on the wallet, so I'm trying to sell the 4x4 tranny and Weber carb to help recover. I guess it's just a matter of doing some more research and collecting parts before diving into this engine swap. Need motor mounts, transmission crossmember, intake manifold and carburetor.
I'm going to clean up the block, change all the gaskets, and maybe pick up some new valve covers and headers.

Hopefully pull the ol' 2.2 in the next couple of weeks.

Must say you are knocking this thing out very quickly. Looks great and GL with the swap.

Thanks man. Yeah I was really disappointed when the 2.2 started knocking. All the hard work on suspension to have it ready for a show in October and then the engine takes a crap was really a kick in the nuts.
I have the motivation right now and want to get as much done as I can before the cold weather sets in. The truck has been sitting for over 2 years so we're anxious to get it back on the road.

I admire your motivation! However, you have not had your better half in any of the pics lately. Some of us are thinking she may have just been hired for a couple pics. j/k Good luck w the swap. If I were you I'd just build my own mounts. Then you can put it where YOU want it, how YOU want it. And, not have to deal with "bolt-on's" that don't fit.

LOL! Noted.

And as for motor mounts, you're probably right. Just doing some research now and weighing my options. First things first is to get the Mazda engine out and figure out what I'm working with.
