Well after all the storms yesterday... My family lucked out, serious storms north and south of us.. nothing but heavy rain here. My thoughts go out to the families suffering across KY and the rest of the nation.

Well I got my adapter and items today and spent some of the morning working on the engine bay. Got the inner fenders caulked it up cleaned up some more of the plumbing getting it ready for paint..

Also my new clears came in earlier in the week.

Put the carb on and the new belts. I think I am going to have to cut my hood or cut my engine mounts since its slightly taller even with the short air filter..

I have a question for those running a weber.. since I bought this used and it was for something else can someone post a pic of your throttle linkage connections? I am planning on modifying the stock piece to work on the Weber but am curious what other options there are. Pics are below..

bratliff where did you get the York brackets? im sitting on to yorks no brakets!

Thanks..

I am still debating on whether to not lower my engine mounts.. I probably will.. but in the mean time..

I scuffed and sprayed the inner fenders today.. debated on what to do.. decided cheap ol rattle can black..

I will modify the throttle bracket next week one night at work, sand blast my hood prop so I can repaint it. Then make my final decision on the engine mounts.. trying to get more research on those right now.. Prob gonna drop them 1/2" to be safe.. then maybe next weekend set the engine back in if all goes well.

One of the previous owners made the brackets.. I reworked them a little. Cleaned them up, drilled them out so I could use a larger bolt that would hold it tighter in the factory AC bracket.. But they def home made.. Plate steel, a couple collars welded on.. nothing to fancy. IF I take it back off I will snap some pictures. Bottom piece is just some all thread, an Eyebolt that provides the tension.

Thanks Frank.. was wondering how yours was coming along.. I am pushing hard to get the engine back in.. but this five inches of snow today reminded me winter isn't over.. hah..

Yeah isnt this great weather we have had this weekend. Go from the sever weather with tornadoes to snow in less then 30 hours. I think we got more snow last night than we have had all year.
