Lowered the engine mounts by 1/2inch today.. still need to take a flap wheel and clean it up but their welded in.. Left my throttle linkage with a machinist at work.. he is going to fix it.. hope to get everything painted up by this weekend.. maybe get the engine set in..

Well the engine is back in!!

BUT... my oil pan is hitting my crossmember.. and one of the previous owners welded the crossmember in.. So I guess I am stuck notching it in the truck... but its close to being down. I guess that 1/2" I lowered the engine was enough to cause problems.. oh well.. a little more fab work..

Well got up this morning and notched the crossmember 3/4".. rewelded everything back in... Then couple friends came over and helped all day.. and the end result..

ITS ALIVE!! AGAIN..

The intake is leaking a touch of antifreeze.. its a brand new gasket.. going to give it a heat cycle and see if it will seal.. if not I guess it will come back off get some sealant and go back on.. other than that.. its been very good. New weber is great.. new timing belt, new belts.. etc.. I need to tune it up, but I am tapped out on cash right now.. so here are couple pics of it.. I am still waiting on my throttle bracket being modified at work so no driving yet.. but it runs..!

Very happy.. fenders turned out good for my first attempt.. and then hood closes and the carb clears.. I am a happy camper. Hope to drive it later in the week.. but might not.. going to installt he alarm, door poppers etc.. so we shall see.

Thanks..

Ronix requested a pic of my York EGC brackets.. I didn't make these.. but I modified them..
I found a pic of the York brackets.. the large flat one goes on the side of the york. the angle bracket goes to the bottom of the york.. the all thread goes through the PS bracket and the angle bracket. That lets you adjust the tension.

Thanks.. if you want any pics of the engine pm my I can email you.. you can prob figure out what the previous owner did. I was hoping to move it and reinstall a.c. but decided it wasn't worth the effort. On a non daily driver.

Small update.. work did not allow much time this week. Still waiting on my throttle bracket, but tonight I did get a battery hold down and cleaned up a few more wires, and hoses. Started on mounting and wiring the alarm. going to a waterpark with the family so maybe more work next week.

So worked all day.. over twelve hours.. got the door popper installed.. enough of the alarm installed to pop the door. Still have a lot more to do and a second popper. Got the fenders on, New corner lights, New tail night's, took the truck for its first test run. Throttle is touchy with the Weber.. runs good though. Installed the radio and door speakers so I have a radio.. going to drive it tomorrow and wash it.. will toss up pics tomorrow.
