So I turned the bolt down in a lathe and it clears.. I found my wiring issue with my taillights.. took the kids to Lego kids fest which was totally awesome.. the are incredible. On the way home I picked up four like New 205/40 Toyo proxes..for 50$ of Craigslist... best score I have ever found on there.. trying like everything to get things in order to drive it to layed out at the park..

Nothing really new.. pic of my tires.. got them put on tonight..

Well I got out of the Dr early enough.. ran over got the exhaust reran replaced the muffler that blew out.. ran it all the way to the back under the axle. So much better, can actually hear the radio now, and it doesn't stink of exhaust. Thursday get the windshield replaced that got cracked.

Thanks... it is coming together.. I am busting my tail trying to get to where I feel safe to drive it to TN for layed at the park..

Got a little bit more done tonight. Rewired the door popper to pop off the door unlock on the alarm. Finished connecting the pin switch for the doors for the alarm, connected the parking light trigger. Cleaned up the wiring some, still need to go back and connect the starter kill. Also fabbed a handle for my sliding ragtop, and put a grip on it off a ball valve cause I thought it was funny, no more adjustable wrench.. truck has used two quarts of oil and I only have a tiny leak.. radiator is clean and I am not seeing smoke...a little confused right now.. but I have only put maybe 300 miles on it since I put it back in.. it could have been half a quart or so low to begin with. Just going to keep checking this for now.

Well small update, haven't done much except drive it.. seems my oil leak is small, needs valve seals.. no big surprise.. and honestly their not bad..I am just picky. Well I put it off until I had really nothing left to work on unless I spent money which I can't right now . So I am finally tackling the damage to the bed..

Disclaimer.. I am not a body man, I have not a clue how to do it but... I think a tailgate skin needs more than three tacks on each side by the tail light.. I tacked all night back and forth, hammered out dents, welded torn sheet metal.. all in all I am happy.. but man they used a lot of body filler in this.. I am no where near done welding, but it's already 100% stronger.. no grinding has happened yet, but here are a couple in progress pics..

One last thing, I did help my buddy set his 400+hp roller motor into his 88 S10 blazer Sat after work.. should be very fun when he gets it all back together..

Makes me want to v8 mine... hah. He has more in his engine and trans than I do in my truck... so not in the same league..

Well I cut the left corner out tonight replaced it with a scrap piece of my tubs. Finished tacking it all in. Tomorrow I hope to flap wheel it down and spray some primer. Want to drive it to LOATP.

Well I ground everything down last night.. rattled on some white primer cause that is what I had.. there has been zero body work done other than just trying to line up the panels and weld it back together. The bed is now one solid object again, no more floppy roll pan. But it does look like it has a diaper. Tonight I washed it to get all the grinding dust off. Tomorrow I hope to clean the inside, and it should be ready to drive to LOATP. that will be the farthest I have driven the truck since I bought it.
