The owner wants $400 OBO with the tires. Personally I would say they are worth about $250-300, because the have some curb rash. If you are actually going to pick the stuff up, I will run it by him, and I would like to see the stuff gone before the weekend is over.

Are you going to come up or not? I would appreciate an answer.

It will sit .125" off the ground laid out, so bolt heads on the bottom = no bueno.

I finished installing the 2x3 rails today, and everything is tacked in. Its still rough, but that will change. Tomorrow = lots of grinding and welding. And I still have to box the transition at the front, which is why its open still.

I got absolutely nothing done today. The owner came up with a new clutch wanting to swap it "Before its impossible to get to." So out comes the trans tunnel and transmission. Off with the clutch, and the flywheel is burnt up and he does not have a replacement. So we get a new one, and its all back together at about 5 PM. So I start welding now that nothing is exposed and vulnerable to welding berries. About 10 inches of wire into a few welds I'm fresh out, and no more wire. And the welding shops aren't open on the weekend.

So I did the front 5-lug swap.



Possibly the most simple thing I have done to this truck yet.

sorry to rip on your thread but i need help.

What is needed for that 5 lug swap? My buddy needs it done and I dont want to get the parts and it not work .He's in Norwalk and i would prefer getting the parts instead of believeing him or going and looking at his truck then trying to go find em at picka part. 1 trip sounds better than 3 .

Airgasm, a fish plate is basically a gusset that goes over a welded miter joint. They are generally in the basic shape of a fish without fins. I will post the info about the hub swap later. But it is basically 84-95 Toyota hubs, and a Timken 710127 oil seal, and a .100" spacer behind the caliper to line it all up.


Back half is on. Just need to cut and weld in the rearmost cross member.
