Nice as always Seth. I really need to learn to Tig.

Thanks guys.

I about went nuts trying to get this tank to sit square in the frame rails, until I stuck a fast 90 against a corner. Then checked all the corners to find its far from square...

I'm also really not digging the star. I don't think it looks good in there, but he wouldn't let me talk him out of it.

Great Progress! Really coming together now.
On the whole star thingy ? Eh?
I would lose it or have it centered in a hoop or some parallel bars in that space.

Great job non the less Homie!!!

Its welded now, I can't really change it. I couldn't find a space anywhere I liked it. I didn't want it on the truck at all, I think it clutters the look, and I'm really not happy with it. But thats the specific spot he wanted it. But I have this feeling, that now that its welded and he knows I don't like it, hes going to think about it all night and change his mind tomorrow. He does that a lot.

Is that a Millermatic 180 in the background?
twisted minis   +1y
175A. The 180 is an older model, and I think they brought that number back this year too.

I just bought a Millermatic 180 a few months ago and it was a new model that the Miller guys were pretty excited about. It looks very similar to the one in your pictures. I absolutely love it, it is brilliant to use, handy and much better than my old 110v jobbie I had previously. I also have a Synchrowave 200, which is beautiful but not as handy as an all round machine. Keep up the good work, I love seeing the progress on your projects.

i dont like it either. it looks useless. as in just ornamental. aren't there already TM logo'd gussets on there somewhere? oh well, just remember who's payin for it...

what are the tabs for that hang off of those tube braces?

anyway, looks like a pretty nice build, that bar setup looks like you put some real thought into it.
twisted minis   +1y
Thats what I really don't like about it. I try to make everything I put on a truck be there for a reason. Nothing there just for looks.

Those tabs are for limiting straps, that will act as a chain bridge, for 3-wheeling.

Got the axle and 4-link back from powder coat and started putting it all together. Went black with a rainbow flake over it. I like it. Its subtle in some light, and bling bling the rest of the time. So many colors in it. In the pictures it reminds me of oil and water.

Limiting straps for the "chain bridge" with quick release pins.

Articulation. The axle drops 10" on one side.

This is how the chain bridge works. When you apply pressure to one side it uses the limiting strap as a pivot and pulls the other side of the axle up towards the frame.
