im an old fart! i come from minitruckin waaaaay back in the day! hot pink splatter paint, weds, tilt beds, graph MT logo, lance martz, courtney hallowell, santini paint and lets not forget wyatt strange (oh the memories!!!)! i remember when airbags were just a thought for steering wheels much less suspension. we yanked out our torsion bars then monoleafed, dearched and blocked the back. we drug that shit through every road construction on the way to every truck run. look at my pics - i had a fully detailed chassis that only had about .5" ground clearance and it was static. until you drag the shit out of it on a static drop you will never unstand it! THATS WHY IM BUIDING ONE LOW ASS STATIC DROPPED MINI AGAIN - JUST WATCH ITS A COVER TRUCK WAITING TO HAPPEN!
these kids, i mean punks dont know shit about the real sport! its minitruckin not minisparkin. its minitruckin not minidraggin and most importanatly its minitruckin not minihatin! just because you cut it doesnt mean its custom, just because you spend 10s of thoudans doesnt mean its custom! its custom when you work two jobs to build it, crying when things go wrong, wrapping up open wounds to finish that last little detail, sleeping only 2 hours a night til you finish it and most important its not about custom at all, "its not falling victim of the norm"!
i end this long ass reply with something we should all read again and start to live by once again... until we remember where we came from by reading this and where we should be headed these emails and arguments will never end!
i quote wyatt strage - minitruckin mag 1998
"We have become part of something much more complicated than you or I will ever fully comprehend. We build more than just trucks. . . we build friendships, we build futures, we build our dreams. We drive our trucks low and hold our heads high because we have an unwritten and unspoken agreement that we will live life to the fullest and never fall victim to 'the norm'. Others laugh at us when we spend hours on end working on our trucks, yet shake our hands when we are done." ~Wyatt Strange MiniTruckin mag 1998
