i saw some crazy shit at drop zone. anybody remember seeing a blazer(i think) that baby had like a foot tall rack with four balls comin off... man it was brutal... TRAILER BALLS PLAYED A PART IN RUINING ONE THE NORTHWESTS BEST SHOWS.

 I've been a minitrucker since 1985. Man I really miss those old days. Static dropped and mono leafed. C notched  and you were the man. Cruising up town and rolling to shows on Saturday morning bumping to sir mix alot or NWA or jazzy jeff and the fresh prince."tapes not cd" Rolling on 14 inch enkie CT7 s all of your buddies lined up on the interstate heading to a show. If you hit dips in the road you would see sparks. We were having a great time rocking our mullets, wearing our neon caps ,swatch watches,mini truck show shirts, multi colored jams and fake oakleys. We may have looked stupid but those were the good ol days! We were all friends, we didnt hate on each other, we would drink but not get stupid,respect others at the hotels and establisments we would frequent.  I never remember there being a fight at a show or hotel and everyone was cool.We loved our trucks and didnt try to tear them up. Thats just plain stupid. I think its time to get back to old school. Not the trucks, the attitude. If you want to fight join the uFC. If you want to be a mini trucker learn to get along.

Hey Blackdod (Dave), I agree with all of us having to get back to basics even if a lot of us were just a thought back in 85. But man there is no way in HELL I am going to rock the mullet and wear a neon hat. HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Cheers!

    My favorite static drop... this brings me back ...not as far back as 1985...but back.  This thing was so slammed the k frame (bolt heads held the car up)  was welded in place the bolt heads were dragged off.  This thing always got stuck on the crown of the road if stopped at a red light (unlevel road).   Keep in mind that the under belly of these cars are 3 " lower then the body.... i guess Tyler is right... I'm a clown...........but proud to be one

i really don't care anymore, i don't really care about living a mini truck lifestyle, drag this! and lay frame that!, i'm just a guy who decided to build a mazda.i don't consider it a life style, its a hobby. I'm lucky to have good friends on this site and in my club (RA) who share the same hobby as me.  As for it being nice to have time and money, my truck will sit for 6 months at a time while i save up funds to do something, i've been workin on my maz for 5 years now, and its finally almost done. just do what you want man, build stuff the way you want someone to build it. Don't one day out of the blue walk into someones garage and start tellin them there doing stuff wrong when you don't even know who they are. Then when everything was settled in go on the computer and find you dissin Dev and I on facebook, caught you red handed. Kind of a shitty thing to do to someone.

Tyler I agree with you 100. Ive been doing this since 1988..first with a MAzda that I had 17 years...and now with the dually. Your right its not a "lifestyle" to me either...its something I just love doing. I could care less about shows...I do love going to them...but you dont see me goin to every show out there. I get the same satisfaction just cleaning my dually in the garage that I do going to a show. Just knowing there is something that even after so long (since I was 16) I have the same passion and interest in is amazing. Nowadays alot of people in "the scene" have this "Look at me...look at who I am....look at who I know" attitude..and there are ALOT of them out there...who gives a F...I long for the day that "the scene" gets back to its roots, throws all the attitude and shit out the window..and get back to whats important. OCD detailer for life!!!!
