First of all, I am the clown Tyler speaks of. My name is Julian and I am sorry for the email you received from my friend, and I don't think I should be held responsible for his actions. I wish it had never been sent. Mini truckin' has history, but in our generation (this day and age of minis) it's about laying frame. Bottom line is anyone can argue this statement but all and all, it's dangerous and lazy fab work and not thought out. Did some low rider do this back in the 90's and others thought "hey this is a good idea"? Keeping the body a 1\4" off the ground...totally understandable...now the only one way I can see people trying to save their frames and keep it safe, is to have 1\4" plate WELDED or in someway bolted (for those pretty powder coated frames). Mind you, for me to bolt to my frame it is just not practical or even nice looking. However, in my defense I have not thought about it. Why would I though, I'm laying frame and building to drag!!! Hell my rockers are 1\4" 1.5 x 3, fully framed 1x2 3/16 and floor 1/8 plate. As the saying goes "build it to drag it". I am not bashing your abilities. You guys are fabricating some intense rides. Infact, your Mazda is one of the sickest I have come across. Must be nice to have the time and money. You got me there man !!! I guess that's what happens when you (meaning myself) decide to have kids. Projects go on the back burner for a while, but now I am in full force and ready to finish my 521 and it would be nice to be civil to each other.Sincerely,Julian
