seth, my truck has the alternator down low on the driver side. steering box is below the brake booster, all the steering is behind the knuckles (driveway proof). there is a smog pump down low on the passenger side. above that i have the a/c compressor. belts go crank/water pump/alt and crank/ac/smog pump. i took the extra belt off. no a/c, but no noise. let me know if you need any certain pictures of anything. oh, and if you want an older style manifold, i can keep an eye out on junkyard trucks/celicas.
Mine is set up the same way, aside from the fact that I don't have an A/C compressor on it right now. But I want to remove the smog pump and put the alternator there. My alternator is right by the steering box, and with the larger GM alternator it is about 1/4" away from the steering box. And I want to narrow my suspension clip about 2 inches, so the alternator needs to move. I want to put it where the smog pump is. No steering box on that side.
Anyways, yeah, if you want to keep an eye out for that same manifold that would be great. I'll pay you for your time/cost/shipping if you find one. I haven't seen that style at the yards here yet. I hardly check the Celicas though, they are hard to find because they are so spread out.
