if i ever paint it, im going to bob the bed around 8-12". but, thats doubtful that ill paint it. old cars and trucks suck ass to paint. gotta strip them down to nothing usually. i already know the fenders have been repainted, at the same time as the rockers. and the doors were repainted a different time. cab seems original paint as does the bed. hood, i havent looked at to figure it out. looks like they were all done in single stage enamals, acrylics or lacuers. gay dude. 1st two arent bad to strip, 3rd sucks donkey balls. i can tell from spots that are chipped to the original paint, and in person the color isnt all 100% uniform panel to panel. looks at the passenger side shot at the top of page 3. you see what i mean?

but no, 16s are my limit on this truck. maybe 17s if a perfect sized, correct offset, cheap but not junk set comes along. hell, i didnt even clean these yet. my buddy is jelous that his wheels tuck better on my 78 than his. haha.

That looks sick.

I like the style intake manifold your truck has. I may have to find an early manifold so I can run my engine driven and alternator on one side.

seth, my truck has the alternator down low on the driver side. steering box is below the brake booster, all the steering is behind the knuckles (driveway proof). there is a smog pump down low on the passenger side. above that i have the a/c compressor. belts go crank/water pump/alt and crank/ac/smog pump. i took the extra belt off. no a/c, but no noise. let me know if you need any certain pictures of anything. oh, and if you want an older style manifold, i can keep an eye out on junkyard trucks/celicas.

Mine is set up the same way, aside from the fact that I don't have an A/C compressor on it right now. But I want to remove the smog pump and put the alternator there. My alternator is right by the steering box, and with the larger GM alternator it is about 1/4" away from the steering box. And I want to narrow my suspension clip about 2 inches, so the alternator needs to move. I want to put it where the smog pump is. No steering box on that side.

Anyways, yeah, if you want to keep an eye out for that same manifold that would be great. I'll pay you for your time/cost/shipping if you find one. I haven't seen that style at the yards here yet. I hardly check the Celicas though, they are hard to find because they are so spread out.

thanks man. ive since gotten my header on, built a new exhaust, and put in a new clutch. short shifter is next on the list, as is a 93ish 4runner console. i want to get the rear down more but i have so many clearance issues i wont be able to get into my driveway. i need to raise the gas tank, the carrier crossmember and do a small notch. and i need to cut up my header to make it shorter then i can raise the exhaust up in. gotta beat some more clearance into the inner fenders too.

but, ive got some new pictures. ill post them later today. and mikey, if you love me you will put one of them into the MT Graffiti section.
