Whomever emails Joe from this thread should put in the subject line: SSM -(subject here) so that he can see who he is dealing with on ssm and make for a faster response no doubt.

First off, my apologies to the forum readers and Kris for having to endure such a long posting, but all of these facts need to be said and addressed so that your loyal members do not fall prey again! Kris, it was brought to my attention that Joe challenged me on page 10, 12th post from the top. I ask you to please refrain from removing my post as Joe basically invited it into this thread. I will not bash, but rather state the truth and facts of recent events and simply be my normal self which is a professional and a gentleman.

The post by Jeff of AVS:

I am not going to perpetuate your posting. It is self serving and does nothing to make this a better community for the members of SSM.

You make it seem like I started a feud with you. The reason this started was your mis-representation of your products and origin, at the expense of my companies. You have 15 AIM bags in stock and you won't even sell them to us. We tried to buy them last week, but you just want them for a loss "bashing" leader. Jeff, I am not going to take a step backwards with you. Your claim that I viewed your ads on Truckin is absolutely ridiculous. Actually, Street Trucks told me you were stepping up to 8 pages. I ALREADY was running 8 pages. Look at the previous issues.

I do not have an exclusive in being bashed. See what the reader below has to say about your company, and your claims to be a manufacturer.

Anyways, I have been given the run around by the AVS company on a product i had ordered from them recently. It was a digital air gauge kit that they sell, and lable it as a "Genuine AVS product" . when i recieved the product, i started to notice alot of similarities to the kit that you sell. It appears to be the same kit, but with the buttons flipped to the bottom, and the face plate with no holes in it an an AVS logo on it. The sticker on the top of the unit says "Made in Tiwain" . I personally find this very missleading, because for it being a genunie AVS product, it sure has alot of similar features and looks and everything as yours, and if they are just modifying one of your kits and selling it as theirs, that is complete bullshit, and a direct LIE.

the senders i got with my kit are blue and silver aluminum ones. Ive done some research on them, and have found out they are produced in china someware.

I dont want you to think that i want you to send me a kit to keep, i only want you to send me a display so that i can do some side by side photographing of the two for visual proof of my claims. I intend to send you back the display after photographing. I have allready purchased a different digital air gauge kit from another company and it works fine for me, i just have my AVS one sitting here for a while untill i sell it, so i dont need the parts again, I am just wanting to try and prove to everyone that AVS is simply importing parts from someware else, that are EXACTLY the same as everyone elses, but seling them for more money.

i fully intend on posting my findings on s10forum, as well as some others, but i want to do it fully at one time, with side by side photos.

its no big deal if your not interested, im sure you have better stuff to be doing, i was just interested in exposing AVS for what they are.

thanks for the info, your time was appriceated.

thanks

Taylor

Taylor,

Yes, it is true. AVS gets them from FBI, and FBI gets them from a company called Giantson in Taipei, through APLO, which is the same company that brought the industry the bad red and blue valves 4 years ago. Another issue is check the senders. If it does not have this sender, (pix attached) they will NOT read correctly. The bad senders are yellow zinc in color.

Hopefully SSM will not allow this to be a Competitor Bashing Contest. AVS have a vested interest in seeing me bashed and my products disparaged. Also, NEVER has any other forum offered to have me on their site. I have tried with S10 forum and I was stonewalled. As far as I am concerned, I WILL NOT perpetuate your portion of this thread after this post.

Hopefully the forum members will want to learn constructive things for their vehicles and not view yours and my dirty laundry.

Sincerely

no company should ever bash any other in an ad.....period... in my opinion it shows desperation that could be avoided by providing a quality part. i dont need an ad to tell me whos part is better than the others, that is all information i can get by talking to a couple of guys at a show or something, or from my own experience. my dollar will never go to a company that openly bashes another, regardless of quality. the good companies out there dont have to get to this level to do buisness, good word of mouth and a basic understanding that the public wants to get what they pay for. theres no amount of backtracking and apologies that will make me forget my experience with a company. i think the companies who bash others should grow up and focus on quality instead of what other companies think of them. you all are lucky to make a living of of someones hobby...i guess the bottom line is WE DONT NEED YOU.......YOU NEED US

One more tidbit for Jeff Jacoby of AVS.

In one of his emails, he said that he would PRAY for me. Apparently it worked and I went on the forums to help and to make things right. Now he calls me a wolf in sheep's clothing... and I thought he wanted his prayers to be answered.

Jeff, did you really pray for me, and now you do not like the result because I might make a former customer happy?

Now be honest Jeff, DID U PRAY FOR ME OR NOT ?

This portion of the thread is not in anyone's best interest except yours, and I am respectfully asking you to move forward with positive statements that are helpful to the community.

Sincerely,
Joe Morrow

I humbly agree with you. You do not need me, I need you and I intend to work for your business, whether I get it or not.

Thank you for your posting. I have already changed my ads to reflect the positive directions direction of this community as promised in a prior posting.

Thank you,

joe thank you for your response, but i dont think you understand, its not what someone does tomorrow that i remember, its what someone did yesterday. my post wasnt directed towards your company, but towards any company who expects to make a buck selling parts. i think the damage is already been done, and if theres any hope for pulling out of it, the focus shouldnt be on making someone else look bad,or even apologizing, but coming to terms with the buisness tactics that led you to this point, and moving forward.

First off I wanted to thank you for all the parts I have ever ordered from AIM. I have bought 2 sets of mazda spindles, a set of isuzu spindles, a set of nissan hardbody spindles, 4 bags, a big red compressor, 3 gallon tank and a set of mazda tail light fillers. All with no problems. So thanks again, I was just wondering though, why do the drop spindles have to push the wheel out another 1/2 to 3/4 on each side? Jim,Thank you for your posting. I have the question on pushing the wheels out 1/2" to 3/4" in to our machining department. Balljoint position has something to do with it. I am checking into it.

Thank you,

I know why. Because they are misdrilled like the two sets i purchased years ago both for each of my Nissan trucks. I spoke to Travis and he said "No problem drive up from Tucson and i will swap them out" So i did. Travis would not come out. Instead i get some psycho red headed woman telling me "You mounted them so the warranty is up" How else would i know they were misdrilled? Anyway i went out of my way to explain that i know know why they do not have a front window because i would have thrown them through it as i was driving back to Tucson with my same shitty spindles, An empty tank of gas, and a day off work wasted since they are nice enough to not have will call open on weekends.

IMO if you order from AIM you get what you deserve. Everyone knows they are not reputable. But the low price with the outrageous shipping throws people off into thinking they are getting a deal. That and the many Ebay user names fool you into dealing with them. Not to mention the several names the business uses to do the same. Websites included.

But Joe if you want to pay your company dues. Go to a show or maybe a run and lets see how you customers treat you.
