Test to see if I did this right. This is the 3/8" PnP and you can see how simple the wiring is. A 1/2" PnP wiring image will follow in a few minutes. Note that you can see the straight connector coming out of the box. That is the connector he removed without holding the braided line to keep it from twisting inside the box.

Oops. Will someone tell me how to copy the path from Photobucket.com ??

so did he install the plug & play wrong or is there something deceiving in this picture? I know how s-10 forum is with allot of stuff so im just seeing if his problems were cause by him or not, are the upper bag mounts supposed to be angled upward? with the lower mount being straight?

In the image above, you can see the braided line that Colby DID NOT hold firm while attempting the removal of a fitting that DID NOT have to be removed. We have confirmed the fact that either straight or elbowed fitting clears with sufficient room. You can also see that the compressor wiring and Magnetic Solenoid wiring is 8 GAUGE. and you can see the 8 pre-wired valve leads with a Molex Plug ontheend, that just SNAPS into the gauge harness. Colby is a frustrated pretend installer that would have everyone believe that his lack of talent translates into us sending bad product. We send out 20 of these units every single day and never, ever have heard of anyone else messing this up. I can understand his desire to prefer a 90 degree fitting, but we did nothing wrong. He had to do NOTHING to this unit except plug in the airline, and run the Battery and Ground lead which were preinstalled and wired.

1/2" pic to follow shortly

so what about the upper bag brackets?

Upper Bag Bracket will be discussed shortly by Ryan.

Here is the 1/2" PnP showing the braided hose. You clearly can see the fitting on the back side that he did NOT hold when he tried to break it loose, twisting the hose.

Colby's "Lack of talent?" Really? That was a little uncalled for considering my interpretation of a "plug & play" and "bolt in" (frame rails) are for those who want to do it themselves, not take it to a shop. I feel that if there was talent involved he probably would have gone another direction.

I read that entire thread too and I feel bad for the guy. He seems like an intelligent kid who was misled. I think reimbursing him for the fittings is the least one could do...my $0.02

We DO NOT have a problem for reimbursing him for the actual costs of a fitting that was actually needed. but I do have a problem for reimbursing him for something he messed up. So have him send me a receipt for the cost of any fittings that were actually wrong.

We will still post on the bracket issue later this afternoon.

I think your insulting the kid a bit much Joe. You have a product you claim is plug and play, which clearly leads one to believe anyone could tackle the install.

I think the reason is clear that he was changing the fitting due to it not being able to work. So yes he should have paid attention to the hose, however he shoudln't have had to change it in the first place yes? Its supose to be plug and play, a set up you guy sell to save installers time and frankly know how?

Personally I think you should replace the hose and the fittings. And thats not even getting into the bracket issue.

And thats not even getting into the bracket issue.Brandt,I try my best to stay positive, but Colby jumped to conclusions and accused us of misdeeds that DID NOT occur. I gave him an UPGRADE to 1/2" Valves and fittings at no charge. He DID NOT pay for the upgrade. when he got the kit, he bitched us out for sending him 3/8" triple bags. There is no such thing as a 1/2"triple bag, and the 1/2" line and valves move a lot more freely than 3/8" and I thought I was doing him a favor, and I get my ba??s busted. He did not admit that he screwed up the hose and I would give this kid parts forever if he communicated with me on a constructive level that left the door open for cordiality. Plus, I gave him the kit for 1/2 price on my own choice. Secondly, he busted my nuts for not giving him more than 60' of hose. Look at the Picture! The rear bags only take up 5' of hose between both of them! The fronts are only another 15' run, making a total of 35', and he would have 25' extra. Why do you not see that he is prone to gross exaggeration. Lets communicate with honest and actual facts instead of exaggerating to feed those that want to jump on the pile. All I ask is the respect of open and clean communications minus the exaggeration factor. Here is another pix of the Scraper. We will take care of any issue with Colby no matter how he treats us, but if he treated us with mutual respect, we would give it back to him X 10.
