i never had to switch the intake in any of my nissans. shouldnt have put an unreliable motor in a reliable truck.

american car companies dug their own grave. you can buy a toyota nissan or hond and know that if you maintain it you can get at least 200 plus miles out of that car. can you say that about the amercan car companies. the american consumer dosent care about where its made they want something that will last

its funny how when we as americans run into hard times we pinch pennies. we make changes with spending habits. look for another career. try to hold onto what you need and sell what you can. our tax dollars that most of us cant really give up is going to a bottomless pit. why should we as americans help companies that dont give a shit about if my family eats. its bullshit. the dems made bush to be the bad guy but its the dems and their money to give out is what started it all. we as americans bailed out AIG. paulson, reed, and pallosi made this decision for us. everything else was put on a ballot. let the american people vote to bailout a company. dont take money out of my kids mouth so CEO's can go on vacation. we as amercans cant get any kind of help unless you screw everything up credit wise. we have all been there. you need a few grand to consolidate bills and nobody would lend you a dime. so i say FUCK THEM. and 78 bucks an hour is the average worker with benefits

i got 200K plus milesopn 2 of my chevies....no real major issues. my buddys tiutan has been in the shop 6 times in 2 years. i also got about 70K hard miles ona H2 and no problems. so dont give me this crap about unreliabilty in american motors. maybe its just unreliable owners?

A lot of you don't realize why unions were originally created. They have done VERY well for the working middle class and made it possible for us to live decent lives while all of the rich stay rich. All it did was slow down the process of the rich people rising up, taking control of all major aspects of our gdp, financial markets, and government. However unions got out of hand and the working middle class couldn't spend money fast enough. I do NOT feel sorry for the person making $35,000 a year who thought he/she could go out and buy a $250,000 home with next to nothing down and run out and buy the biggest baddest gas sucker they could squeeze into their garage. Should the banks be blamed? No! Just because someone tells you that it is a good idea doesn't make it so. Step back and think about what we need and can afford. People think that this SmartCar for $16000 is a great deal for a fucking box that gets around 40mpg that you cant haul shit in and gives you hemroids if you need it for a long trip. However $18000 is too much to spend on maybe a Chrysler Sebring that gets around 30 mpg which you can fit your family comfortably in and haul whatever reasonable. People now are too the point that american cars are in their peripheral vision and only the foreign cars are in front of them. They don't realize all the cars gm, ford, and dodge are building that are very much so comprable to their foreign counterparts. If you like american, buy american...if you like foreign buy foreign. But don't come back bitching when you can't find a job for a decent wage and all the foreign companies have our american dollars because we send all of it their way....then eventually we work for them and our great government that has their piggy banks tied off of all of it. Take a look at the Scion XB...the thing doesn't even get close to 30 mpg now and they still sell! Wow, and in recent news AB has been sold off to a foreign company. Business is great and I understand the world market, but when is America not going to be for sale? All of us are going to whore ourselves out to the point when own nothing at all, because everyone borrows borrows borrows. Why would I save for anything if its given to me on credit? I live in St. Louis and have watched ford go, watching AB dwindle, and my father in law is second generation UAW Chrysler worker. He has 23 years in and is caught in the middle of all of this. He is not a line worker, he has been a carpenter in the plant most of his life like his father and has worked 7 days a week for most of his career to give his family everything they have. They OWN everything and owe NOTHING, he has worked hard to save and buy what he knows he can afford. That is the very person who is being fucked the hardest by our ecenomic downfalls. Yup thats right, all of us that have always done the right thing and worked our asses off for a dollar. You can bet your asses that we have not seen the worst yet, and I personally believe people are going to start picking up their guns and making it known they are tired of it. Revolution every now and again isn't a bad thing.

My dad has a 01 dodge ram with 225,000 miles with only a new trans put in at 150,000 because of all the heavy towing. we've pulled our boat which on the trailer weighs over 9,000lbs from the detorit area up to northern michigan near Alpena 4 times a year and to the U.P. many times. its been to Cali and back 3 times pulling a 35' RV yada yada yada. my neighbor with his Nissan has had 3 trannys and a rear axle replaced-all before 75,000 so that argument is null and void.
What most people don't get is that 1 fiancial job created only creates and avg. of 2 more jobs outside - One Automotive job created creates an avg of 10 more jobs outside of the auto industry. If the auto industry dies in an area like...toledo ohio lets say, the workers there don't have money to go out to a resturant, resturant looses business and closes up. all emplyees now out of work. They now don't have money to buy a new (insert item here...i dunno a fuckin new tv from circut city) over time that store suffers and has to lay people off and eventually close up. They cant get they're car to the mechanic so he looses business and it goes on and on and on. Its trickle effect and whether you know it or not we are all effected by the auto industry. this country has been and is still is reliant on the 3 american auto companies thriving.

its a song title but i think its as true as anything said. REEDUCATION THROUGH LABOR. i believe 90% of the issues plagueing this country(just to keep it relevant) is the lack of education accross the board. if we were taught at a very young age, when we're more receptive to learning and forming habits, about finances and economics, maybe there wouldn't be so much blind borrowing and spending. yes i partially blame the financial institutions for risky lending but a greater portion needs to be directed at the people who didnt have enough foresight to be prepared for lean times. this is going to be a HUGE learning experience for our generation and hopefully some of use will learn something from this and teach our children to be prepared for everything.

"good. weed out the bullshit, let the responsible companies prosper, and rebuild the economy from the roots up... instead of trying to patch up the problem. soup kitchens and manual labor is what the United States needs; to help people pull their heads out of their asses and get back to the fundamentals of business and life in general.

i hope it happens. i hope the bottom falls out of the economy and wall street is reduced to a dirt road trading post, figuratively speaking."

Why is everyone talking about the inflated prices of domestic vehicles. I own a 06 tunrda limited it was 3000 more then a denali truck. Gets shit gas milage and has been no better then the 02 ram i had before it.With the dealer rebates and promotions that are on always you can buy a new 08 ford for like 24,000 canadian in a 4x4 with a nice load. A base tundra extra cab 2x4 is more. Also I cant sell my tundra i have been trying for 6 months the great resale is total b,s.
