Truckin' magazine

Hey Dan sorry we didnt get to talk more at GatorDrag and  I never saw you again to sign the door on the van, but it was great finally meeting you.    I have always enjoyed your shoots, and enjoyed the layouts in the magazine keep up the great work I look forward to a excellent magazine being even better

This has been a debate for the last 20 years of both magazines. What is published is nothing any nastier or distastefull than what you see and regular TV now a days. The is no rude or obsence poses (i.e. Open legs in the air, extremely bent over shots focusing hard at the rear end or anything else) With thousands of magazines on the rack our mags have the least content of women in them.

I'm a married man and it really pisses me off that the past few issues of MT has skanks on the cover and what's worst is they waste two or three of the few pages they can have on the mag and waste them by interviewing these dumb bitches. I could give a flying fuck less what they like to do everyday and how they want bentlys and they like to shop for clothes.---------------------------------------------the exaggeration online cracks me up... out of the last 6 months only one issue had models on the cover... and yes it does sell well, because even though A LOT of us already have chicks and could "care Less" it always seems that with a 98% male audience they like to see a few chicks every now and then but we do our best to balance it all, if you remember back a few years ago (before I was the editor of MT) EVERY SINGLE ISSUE WAS SHOT IN A WHITE STUDIO WITH A CHICK... there weren't any complaints about chicks then, just how boring and stale the mag was   now that we only do a couple a year, it seems that they get more scrutiny... but like i said, and many have said before me... we do our best to please as many people as possible while still putting out a great rag  Thanks for the continued support guys!!! ---------------------------------------------Mike.... the ladies you put on the cover are nice and complement the trucks well. When I was young (15) Mini Truckin and Truckin had girls on the covers. My parents didn't say a word about them being on the table or ever thought that by me looking at them I was going to be a perv or stalker. I'm 35 now and still collect every issue I get my hands on and either way if there is a model or not I will continue to buy and support the industry. I just find it hard in this day of age that having a girl on a cover is going to upset anyone. On top of that the people that are concerned about that must not have been at any truck runs these last few years cause there is WAY MORE SEEN parting out there and camping that what is put on a magazine cover. I'm waiting for a thread to start to ban bikini contests at shows now after reading this. And yes show promototers are the ones that set up huge cash prizes for the ladies but if you built your truck to will 1500 bucks then I would have to invest 150,000 or more so I would have to win for years if that was someones goal......all I can say is WOW...

I don't mind the chicks...specially Jenny P...man she's gorgeous. I think it's odd that people frown on chicks on the cover of magazines with Bikin's on....I mean do you not go to the beach so your 5 year old doesn't see a girl in a bikini. Hell I can get more of a peep show by going to the mall on Friday night. Other than Tailgate and occasionally Lowrider mag...I don't think the truck related magazines go to far with the girls. I occasionally look at the little articles about the girls....I think alot of it's funny...Like last month's...Chick was asked if she was single or taken....She answer's...I'm single but i'm spoken for....Bitch then your dumbass ain't single. LOL Like i said if your worried about girls on the cover...then make sure you don't take your kids to the mall on friday night, the beach/lake, or watch 90% of the sitcoms on television. I've seen worse on the ABC. Dan and Mike...I met yall at Tex Mex and I met Kevin Aguilera at Gator Drag...yall all are some cool as dudes in my book...Truckin has never been my favorite mag but i've been a subscribor for the last 3 years and I can't complain much. I can't wait for Aftermath Mike's Blue 06 to hit the pages...i did alot of work on that truck so its gonna be badass seeing some of my work in a mag. I'm liken the changes and I look forward to one day maybe making it on a page or 2. My only suggestion would be given the Under Construction crowd a feature every once and a while. That is one of my favorite parts of the other mags....being able to see a truck in UC...then to see it featured in the same mag later down the road. Kinda of something alot of people can relate too...since most people trucks are in UC at some time. Keep up the good work Dan...see you around man.

Wow these stats are impresive. I have been getting it since January ant it is a great mag with LOTS to look at. I always have to look at it a few times in order to see it all.Keep up the good work! Dan were are you located? Down the parking lot from my job there is a Source interlink Media offce that's why I am asking.

i picked up truckin mag last night and i was quit impressed. i probally will start a subscription again.

They are clothed its not like they are nude and taken open beaver shots.  You can see girls wearing the same damn clothes or less just walking at the mall, store, beach, watching TV & just walking around town. So do you not go to thsoe places because you have kids, girl/wife also? Not trying to be a jerk but believe me I have seen worse in everyday life then in a magzazine.

I  had the oportunity to meat Dan at a buddies photo shoot, great guy and grounded.   I can already see changes in the mag, and definately good things!! While I was at the shoot I have stolen a bottle of some funky vitamin water and part of his energy bar to put on ebay and make millions.... any takers?
