Bingo...my sig is making fun of the people who got so offended by someone's remarks that they compared it to a hate crime. Lol.

I will be driving my 83 Mazda to Vegas for SEMA and I weigh 110 lbs hahaha. I love that little truck. My F150 was nice because yeah, it had everything ac, power everything, cruise, more space, but there is something about my Mazda that I love so much more. I love bagged fullsize trucks, but I love my 38 mpg mini more hahaha. Nothing against this topic Robert but it has been beatin to death and therefore should be dead hahaha. It has been an ongoing topic for several years now, how dead is the scene again? Lol

I know people have talked about this for years and for years I sat back and shook my head. But I have heard 3 groups at shows and 3 people say it on Facebook and just wanted to say what I thought about it.. I was sitting at the table and thinking, " why do these people not see what alot of us see?" and I come up with this. for some this is a hobby and for others this is just how it is, part of there life. I'll be 40 this September and I cut and lowered my first car at the age of 16. I have no way out, I love this shit more now than in the past because every year it gets bigger.

I just could not sit back and listen to it with out saying something this time.. "It was more like a statment".. lol

I have been around a long time and I'm one of those so called old timers have been hearing that Mini Trucking is a fad and it will not last threw the 1970s. Guess what boys and girls we are still here and I don't think we are going anywhere for a long time. As I have asked my club let's bring back the Mini have your full size but build a mini. With us doing that we are getting some of the young guys to understand where it all came from. Just my opinion and you what they say about opinions.

I never thought of it as being stuck I enjoy the scene. I always say I was never smart enough to get out. I say that but I would not change a thing who can say that they were there when it started there are a few. But who can say they were there when it started and stayed in it I can't think of any. Sure there are people that say I was in Mini Trucking in the 70s but none that can say they are still involved like I have been. Having said that this scene would not of gotten to where it has evolved if it where not for everyone that has been involved. Some Mini Truckers move on to other scenes and other lifestyles but deep down they are still Mini Truckers at heart. This scene is not something that you can just wash off it sticks to you and will always have a small piece that stays with you. Weather it's that body dropped truck or the club you were in it's still there. Plan and simply your just a Mini Trucker.

If anyone is saying its dead wasn't at showfest this year that's for sure. It might have slowed down a little but that's more on the economy and how hard its been for lots of people to either find a job or be promoted to afford the new trends. 26" billets aren't cheap so i can see why a guy would rather build something old.

i was at showfest, and i cant wait to go back next year, drove my truck from nebraska to mississippi thinkin that my motor was gonna blow up the whole way. needless to say i've been dumping money into that thing like crazy, have a new motor and tranny in the garage, as well as a new standalone system sittin in the bed. when the clutch, flywheel, and injectors show up on thursday, its on. juiced wagon, i hope to see you there. i guess im sayin, the scene for me is still very alive

How can the scene be dead ? every show i attend has tons of new rides dropping , everyone i know is upgrading or building a new ride , good shops have a wating list of vehicles.
i think mini truckin and the side line of full sized mini inspired truck and suvs will be just fine for a long time to come.

I just wanted to say the scenes not dead but alive and well, i think its just hibernating. Hell i had 2 sell my yota of 11 years just to make ends meet but its still out there and i see it on the internet from time to time and its still progressing into what i envisioned. But on a better note I picked up a 1 owner bone stock 80 ford courier for $200 bucks and cant wait to cut it down.lol-- So just like my previous statement i went into hibernating but have never and will never lose my minitrucker mentality.

on a side note i sure do miss reso..... hint hint.......
