I wish we could live in the house until it sells, but my girl is a school teacher and got a job about a 2 hour round trip from the house. Having to relocate sucked but with teachers constantly being laid off she signed the contract and took the job. That drive alone would be terrible everyday, but whenever she got the job we were expecting our first child so I really couldn't ask her to drive that everyday, especially pregnant. Now we both have our jobs in the new place. I just had someone call me tonight wanting to rent the house out till it sells though so I might go that route to keep from having to relocate my family for only 3 months. It sure sucks for the sake of the truck but the family always comes before the projects. The up side to all of this is that our house we're selling is paid off completely. So whenever it finally sells I'll have a nice boost in the truck funds.

i agree about the 2 hour commute , i done that myself and it get tiring after a while
but since youre wifes pregnant will she keep the job after giving birth she prolly be out of commision for half a year after that taking care of her and youre newborn child

renting it out is definetely a posibility as you allready payed of the morgage they will pay youre rent so financially it would be the same is living there again youreself , be carefull though to who you rent it out to
the wrong kind of tendans can leave youre house in ruins if youre not carefull and once the people are in the house legally there verry hard to get out unless there behind on rent (where i live)
in the netherlands theres allso a chance they use the house to grow mariuana in wish can allso give the owner lots of trouble , thats why over here most private owners that rent out there home use an outside rental housing company to do the paperwork for them , they use rental contract for the therm the house is available and build in clauses for damage and stuff so you dont get stuck with the bill

We've already had our baby about 11 months ago and now we're just completely relocated. I've rented the house out before and had some minor issues but nothing big. I'm just gunna have to get it rented I guess and keep living away from my shop. I was really stoked about living close to the shop again.

You just need to make new friends, find somebody with a shop and move the truck. Hahahahaha
Hey at least when you get time you get things done! My buds shop is 5 miles from my house I just dont have the money to do anything to my truck.
Cant last forever right? I sure hope not.

I havnt been coming here much on account of guys like you make me feel bad. LOL

I've had this truck for like 2 years and the only thing Ive managed to get done is some sanding and priming.

You are doing a wonderful job, and being able to juggle what you do and still manage to get things done is amazing.
I just cant afford to do anything. I was robbed and have hardly no tools now, and by the time I get off work, my back is done for the day. Just cant get anything done around here anymore. Its depressing.

Keep up the great work, if your inspiration was all I needed, I would be done now.

Mines up for sale if anyone is interested.... Ill update the for sale thread with what I have....

I really wish I could. We relocated to Joplin,Mo. After that huge tornado that went through here we just feel lucky to have even found a rental house. The house we're in now has a detached garage but the doors are broke. I'm going to try and get them fixed and use that to at least get my tools all in the same place.

Thanks again everyone. All of your comments and suggestions is what helps keep me motivated. I really don't have any friends or family that are into trucks at all, so you guys definitely keep me motivated.

Don't sell the dually PossM!!! That truck is going to look amazing when it's done. I've always loved that Body style. I just wish I had the cash to buy it from you.

the guy has a garage near his house and hasnt even tried to make it to work in there ........
two hours comute a day versus fixing the door and walk to work....hmmmmm

i have a garage to work under my home to but to make that work i have to break out a big chimney and mount a different door that will go out and down so i can actuay park the truck in there and close the garage
