Funny you should mention that Linn, In all the tizzy that was yesterday (mother had knee surgery, wife's b'day, new years, yada, yada) I didn't get a chance to post this up, so I guess now is as good a time as any....the wife went to the Dr yesterday & got the official nod....she's @ 4 weeks along, so around the first of september I'll be the proud papa of another future minitrucker. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />
Thanks for the compliment, I am glad to have it home, and more anxious to get it running. To answer your question though, it has had a ton of massaging, here is a short list, if you want more specifics, shoot me a pm, and I'll be happy to go into more detail..
87mm Wiseco forged pistons @ 10.0:1 comp ratio (was aiming for 10.5:1 but the head gasket thickness and piston to valve clearance played an issue)
block bored +1mm
engine block decked (not sure of the specific measure off the top of my head) and o-ringed for the copper head gasket
head shaved (same as above), and extrude honed. +1mm larger Ferrera Comp plus intake & exhaust valves, solid rocker arm swap (no hydraulic lifter to float @ higher rpm's)
fast freddy's cam (Delta cams in tacoma, wa. is the place that does the regrind) 262 duration w/ .420 lift
rotating assembly was balanced, rods reconditioned, ARP head studs, stiffer valve springs, custom retainers
also had the whole engine cryo treated for strength
Accell 300+ ignition, taylor wires, fidanza flywheel, centerforce dual friction clutch
SEXY magnum valve cover (good for at least an extra 20 hp )
custom 6061 alum intake with twin weber 45 dcoe's (will have two intakes 1 with 4" runners, and 1 with 5")
2 row rad from an automatic b22k, twin 10" elect fans, starter from a b22k auto trans for higher output (these are 10 tooth & 1.4kw compared to the 8 tooth 0.8kw for the manual trans, also the bottom mounting hole must have the threads drilled out to bolt to the manual trans)
aeromotive fuel system components (pump, filters, & bypass regulator) braided & hard fuel lines, 16 gal fuel cell, pacesetter header & hiflo cat, magna flo muffler, relocated battery to truck bed....
I guess you could say that is a snapshot of all the $$ I've thrown at this thing, as I said, if anyone wants more specifics, I'll be glad to fill in any blanks that I might have left out above....
Happy New Year everyone, I better get to work on the truck, the work on it won't get done with me peck'n on this keyboard!!
