i bought the complete suicide door kit from fbi, started it today hopeufully i'm doing everything correct. i've never done it before so hopefully they turn out allright. i skimmed over a "how to" but they did it on an s dime so everythings been just a little bit different. i'm taking lots of measurements so everything is square,

tomorrow i plan on reinforcing the door and it should be swinging suicide all welded up. on the drivers side.

sorry i like to take lotzzz of pictures
if you have any questions or suggestions about anything let me know.

Nice! This is a project I always wanted to do, but I never had the balls. Good luck. Keep postin' those pics...maybe I'll try it next!

Nice install pics! Nice to see creativity and not kit!

Look forward to more pics and a completed install. Looks like you should have enough adjustment.

yeah i have some big gaps to weld up but i'm gonna weld up a lot of reinforcements to keep it real strong.

also since the bottom hinge is real low i'll have to find some sort of new seatbelt like a lap belt most likely.

also if anyone knows if i can cut more off of the one side that sticks out. i wish it was all flush but wasn't sure how much i could cut off on that one side?

these guys put there hinges a lot closer, i read that you want a minimum of 12 inches from outside to outside or the hinge.

lookin good i guess not exactly sure what it needs to look like to be really strong. ive been wantin to see a how to on this on a mazda and someone that hasnt ever done it before to see if its logical for an average fabricator to do

Looks good so far man. Make sure you reinforce the hell out of the inside of the door so they dont sag on you.

you could always run a crossmember between the two pieces in the door that will strengthen it up alot and as long as the door is welded to the channel good then it wont sag.
