just got back in from the garage, got a good amount done welded up more of the notch solid, along with some of the bridge...going to finish up all that welding Thursday, and start in on the LCA's this weekend.... I ordered just about the rest of my air supplies.... except the fittings, traps, pressure valves, fill/dump controls and compressors ... that will be my next order... but here is what I did order.

2 RE6's
2 RE7's
4 link kit
front bag brackets
1/2 inch air line
8 3/8 SMC valves
and a 8 gal. 8 port tank

and here's a few pics of today's progress

Ok haven't got much done the last few days... I cut my hand open pretty good at work, and haven't been able to do much.. put butterfly stitches on it, and closed it up right away, and its doing better, but still hurts like hell. any way my dad came over again to weld some more tonight but I ran out of wire, with just a little left to do

he did show me a great trick to check your welds to make sure there solid without any cracks, or to make sure you didn't grind to much of the weld off... so here's a little "how to" I'm thinking about putting this under the "tech by member" section so let me know what you think and whether I should or not!

First you have to get some Dy check, not sure where to get it, but u can look it up...

then spray the area you welded, and allow the Dy check to sit there for 5 or so min so it can sink in to any cracks that may be there...
thread post photo

then clean it with acitone to remove the Dy check...
thread post photo

then blow Dy check powder (we used baby power, doesn't work as good but the Dy check powder is expensive) over the area you had sprayed with the Dy check... you don't need to blow a lot over the area just a thin dusting will work...

If there is a little crack or you ground to much of your weld out the powder will pull the Dy check out of the crack and show you where your problem is.... as we suspected there was a small crack in the weld... once you know where the crack is, grind out the spot and re-weld it!

finished welding the notch and new rear frame today, and started to clean the rear axle to be ready for the bags and 4 link to be in this week, and I found a hole in my pumpkin... its just a small pin hole, but it looks like someone had tried to weld it closed once before.... anyway just something else to fix... here's a pic.
