Right now i'm just pulling the front spindles apart because im trading a friend my 22" 2.5 chrome reasonato rand some 2.5 flanges/piping from another project for infinite sand blasting on the mazda. He works in a fabrication shop where they have a sandblasting bay that a car could drive into and has agreed do it all for me in exchange for the exhaust supplies. I have everything apart besides the one bearing on the hub, i have removed the front bearing right underneath the dust cap but i am unaware of how to remove the other bearing. does the large cap with the rubber seal on the inside come off? thanks guys

as far as I know and I could be wrong but I don't think I am... to remove the inner wheel baring if that's the one your talking about, you actually have to replace it after taking it out... its just about impossible to remove it and re use it.... id suggest replacing all your wheel barrings and seals if there original anyways.

Alright but if the bearing is damaged when removed how could you succesfully install the new bearing undamaged? the inner cap has to be removable/replacable it order to replace that grease seal i just dont understand how it comes off. pops off?

ohh do you mean the grease cap on the outer side of the hub?

usually a metal cap like thing over it?? if so yeah that just pops out... you can take a small screw driver and kinda wedge it in on the side and slowly separate it...

i am aware how the outside comes apart not the inside. i beleieve you may need a tool to pull the inside seal

ok ok ok that's what I thought you meant the first time... yeah you can't remove that with out destroying it... its a pressed in seal... the best way Ive found to remove them is just using a hook getting in behind it and just yanking it out... and when you put the bearing back in put a new seal in....

Alright i am planning to weld my front bag brackets this weekend if a friend doesnt bail out on helping me. So far i have done absolutely everything solo and it would be nice to have an extra hand to weld up the front end. I have done a quick mock up with my bags and lower bag bracket and it seams no matter what the re6 bag will make contact with the frame. I had originally purchased the RE6 bags because people had said they didnt need to pocket the frame but its starting to look like i will have to. In the picture i have posted the bag is resting against the frame rail and there is isnt even any room to do up the ball joint bolts. Would anyone suggestt spacing up the inside of the bag plate closer to the frame so it pulls the upper portion of the bag away from the frame? Does anyone have any suggestion in order to set this up properly?

Remember this is the first time i have ever attempted to puta vehicle on air and all the veteran help would be greatly apreciated.

thanks guys

you dont even want to know what the re7 would look like in there. it would fully extend 3/4 of the way over the ball joint mounting area very close to the end of the lca

I have them for my rears so i just ran to the garage and snapped a picture for you
check your pm's
