looks good man, if it's a zexel rotary pump they're super easy all u need is a vise to put the drive end in, just remeber to take the fuel screw out 1st along then the top cover, i build them all day long lol, i work at a shop that rebuilds diesel injectors/pumps/turbos

1st thing, there should be some fuel shoot back at u if you have the lines loose if it's pumping enough pressure, 2nd question i dont really understand...your unhooking the return from the injectors? if so that shouldnt cause air in the supply. 3rd question if the bubble doesnt get pulled in try gravity feeding the pump placing a tank higher than the pump and see what happens, if it works make your way back replacing the external supply pump to your seperate container, if still works check your lines to make sure you dont have one chaffed or whatever,4th question make sure you've got good power going to your sol on the pump or even pull it out and put power to it as well just to make sure, you shouldnt have fuel come out of the lines if it's a bad sol but by looking at the rubber stop on the sol u can tell if there's metal or not in the pump (hopefully not), also might want to pull the return fitting off the pump check it, possibly leave it off see if anything changes when cranking could be blocked if it's been sitting for a while

I do have a second pump that I can do some inspection on, the lift pump is internal on these pumps. My first pump has a bad solenoid but I made the mistake of letting it sit far too long when I first got it. If it should be splashing back towards me while cranking then I definitely don't have enough pressure from the pump. Gravity feed on the pump, now that is an interesting idea. I can try to pull my truck to be on a nearby hill, if the bearings aren't seized up that is.

im not to familiar with those motors but there are some motors that have that same style pump that also have a external supply pump, also might want to try and run some tranny fluid thru the fuel might help free up the sleeve on the rotor for the head since it's been sitting for a while

Well one of the wipers doesn't work. Gotta find another set when I get some money, whenever that is going to be.

Well I decided to do a bit more work on securing the headlights. I figured out how I was going to work with the two lower bolts using what hardware that I had. I showed the mount for the upper bolt as well, but I didn't show how I planned to secure them. What I did was to take some scrap metal that I had and bent it into a double C-clip (custom ground to fit the contours of the headlight and my homemade adjuster.)

Here are a couple of pics.

and installed on one

When both are done and adjusted how I want them, I'll be able to start glassing the grille to fit better.
