here you go.. then.. this is part of the reason I havent had a car.. I have gotten to work on his and its waay cooler..

Engine is a 92 TPI 350 with a painless harness... Chrome is not my personal cup of tea and it has caused us a ton of headaches.. but it is impressive none the less..

Air ride is a work in process.. actually the whole car is a work in process.. this winter is firewall shave and vintage heat and air install..

I just couldnt use that grinder today.. too much of it lately.. hah.. Sooo brake work instead.. When I got the truck the brake distribution block had been just wadded up in the corner so I reworked that today. Went and picked up two new calipers since both bleeder screws were broke off and rusted stuck. Installed one of those .. spent more time staring at the passenger side knowing I should get the grinder out.. but no.. laziness won out..
here is the after shot of the brake line clean up..This is not intended to be a return to show truck... just safe driver that can be enjoyed...

One thing I would be concerned with is the air line running thru the old upper shock mount. Rubbing against the metal there will probably lead to a failure at some point. Otherwise looks like you are headed in the right direction with correcting previous problems. Always interesting going thru a previous owners setup and realizing they really did not know what they were doing.
As always keep us posted on your progress.

Yeah the previous owner ran it through there as well but the line had zero wear, I plan to put a grommet around it as well.

I am reconsidering the upper mount now, but honestly I am running through the travel and just not seeing it being a problem. I tacked everything in and fully compressed the bag and it looks good to me, I think its fine. I have done 1 mazda before and several other types of cars and trucks.. Seems fine to me. I used the old bag as the mock up and the new bag seems to fit a bit different.. just not 100% sure.. the old bag was split but it was pushed so far out it was rubbing the spindle..

I dunno I wish I had a second person to take a peak at it..

here were a couple in process pics..

yeah i think your upper bag mount is still a issue your gusset is rubbing a little...just makes me nervous...blowning a bag a high way speeds is not fun... my first time i mounted the pasenger side to close to spindle...rubbed through and blew the bag after about 6 months at highway speeds. i still think u should remount uppers at a angle to match lower control arm... u can see in your pic of the way you have it the bag is missaligned with the bracket which is not a huge issue i just think it would be more serviceable in a different fashion...not hating just helping...on a plus side your fabrication looks a billion times better then original owner...always nice to see what a mag truck looks like underneath and to know most daileys and under construction trucks are better fabbed then a mag truck...

whos the future minitrucker behind the wheel in your garage pic...my two year old daughter loves my minitrucks both mazda and my datsun....

Nice wagon i agree the chrome is blinding and a little over board but i like contrast....reminds me of a wagon i tried to buy in california on a trip....nice work...

Jrock yeah I have been cutting the passenger side out I am going to mock it up differently and see how it works. My thing is aired up everything looks great only when at max layout do you have any contact so I am just not sure. I killed my grinder Monday so that set me a day back. That future minitruckr and I are at the dr's office for him right now so hopefully progress continues.

I will mock up the passenger side and see how it works in comparison. I am way more worried about rubbing during normal driving. Thanks for the advice I always try to listen I may not always do what is suggested but I do listen and appreciate the input.

Thanks
Bill
