Thank you. About the shock, I didn't know that until now but with this setup the way it is, the suspension is pretty stiff when pushing on it so i'm sure it will be fine but i'll remember that for any future setups.

Tonite we got the Optima battery mounted to the frame rail, not much but it's slowly progressing and were aiming to have it done as a driver by the summer. We are still working on my project Tbird on the side to get it ready for the summer as well, I havent driven it for 5 years now but it's almost ready to go!

Every lil thing will eventually add up to one really cool thing! Keep it up!

It's not much but it's the beginning of something big, And that something is that we have finally started the body drop. We started with the front of the bed and since were raising the floor to cover everything on the frame the bed will be pretty shallow but it should look cool. We're going to move on to the cab next since were waiting to get the tubing to build the floor.

I can't stand the way the body looks with it being all different colors though! We gotta get this body drop done so we can move on to the body work, slow but steady will get it there.

Also somebody in the thread was wondering if the wheels would clear when it's body dropped and they do. Stock axle, 20x8.5" wide wheels with 7" backspacing. Since he's running 245/30's we will have to pull the bed sides out about 1/8" so the tires won't rub on the very top, it wont be noticeable but if he was to run a smaller tire like a 225/30 they would clear without pulling the bed sides at all im sure.

Dang i had to pull the bedsides to clear caddy 18's on stock rear axle.

The cab is mostly stripped and were getting close to cutting the floor. Looks like we just got ourselves into hours and hours of cutting and welding, not to mention painting the frame and reassembly after it's all done

The cutting mostly done for the body drop, but to our suprise there was more rot in the front floor boards so we ended up cutting the front sections out and were in the process of fabbing up some new sheet metal pans which was kind of a shitty job trying to seperate the body mounts from the rotted metal so we can transfer them to the new metal but we got them apart and it will work out pretty good.
The rot on the back wall of the cab is mostly cut out now as well, just need to trim it a little more and then hang a nice smooth piece of metal in it's place. I'm glad you guys talked us into keeping this cab and repairing it, not only did it save money but it's an experience that I was hoping i'd never have to do but it's not so bad. Here's some pics, the floor has been completely cut since these were taken...
