I have a 1980 Toyota. I've realized that the frotn crossmember hangs 1 3/8" lower than tha rest of the frame. My front clip looks the same as the newer Toyotas, late 80s, early 90s. What do you guys do to fix this? Or, did anyone else even turn into this problem?I want to lay my frame flat, and just get the rockers on the ground. I could Z the frame I guess, and cut the hood. But I'd like to keep it all under the stock hood.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well you could have some fun at first like I did and drag the shit out of it! But your gonna have to z it to get the hole frame down cuz your a-arms will lay even after a flat crossmember.

after you Z it, lower the motor, but definetly drag it a little, this will allow for a smaller Z

Thats what I decided to do Bobby. I got the lower arms off, and I'm ready to cut them like you did, and also flip the ball joints. Also going to build a new front crossmember to bolt in, and ditch the stock one.

Of the crossmember? I think I have it figured out, but pictures would be awesome! I was about to go start cutting the tabs off below the bushings.
